At ‘InterBattery 2026,’ the world’s largest battery industry exhibition held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, aeonus, a leading South Korean mobile Energy Storage System (ESS) company, is capturing the industry's attention by presenting a new paradigm for energy transportation in the era of electrification.

The global industrial sector is rapidly transitioning into the "Age of Electrification," where every internal combustion engine—well beyond just passenger cars—is being replaced by electric power. This transition at industrial sites has gained further momentum recently, as the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment announced an aggressive expansion of zero-emission construction equipment as part of its carbon neutrality initiatives.

The primary challenge, however, is that massive construction machinery like excavators and cranes, as well as Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and electric aircraft, cannot physically move to fixed charging stations or traditional gas stations for power. Just as oil tankers used to visit construction sites and airfields to supply fuel in the past, a "mobile power grid" has become essential in the electrification era. Since its inception in 2020, aeonus has focused its capabilities on energy transportation technology. At this year's exhibition, the company unveiled a massive lineup of customized solutions optimized for diverse on-site demands. The major exhibits include:

• ▲ A 200kW high-capacity mobile ESS model capable of simultaneously serving as a heavy-duty generator and a fast charger at construction sites.

• ▲ 'indego STATION,' a micro-car-sized 200kW mobile ESS designed for commercial buildings or temporary charging infrastructure.

• ▲ 'indego MOBILE,' a vehicle-based solution that functions not only as a power generation vehicle but also supports the charging of electric aircraft at airports.

While the overall growth of the K-Battery industry has recently softened due to the EV 'chasm' (a temporary stagnation in demand), advanced and specialized battery platforms like aeonus—which solve specific industrial bottlenecks—are being hailed as a new breakthrough capable of leading the global market.
