aeonus, TOFF MOBILITY Partner to Build Mobile Power Infrastructure for Electric Aircraft

aeonus Co., Ltd. (CEO Eun Heo), an eco-friendly energy solution company based on mobile energy storage systems (ESS), announced that it signed a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with TOFF MOBILITY Co., Ltd. (CEO Chan-young Jeong), a company specializing in eco-friendly air mobility, at the ‘2026 Drone Show Korea (DSK)’ in Busan. The MOU is for the ‘establishment of mobile charging solutions and infrastructure for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and joint entry into overseas markets.’


The purpose of this agreement is to jointly pioneer the aviation electrification infrastructure market by combining aeonus’s mobile energy solutions, which have proven their technological prowess in the EV and industrial power sectors, with TOFF MOBILITY’s technology, which possesses capabilities in operating electric aircraft. Both companies plan to pursue joint development and demonstration projects for mobile ESS-based charging and power packages to build AAM electrification infrastructure, and to establish a cooperative framework for entering the global market.


■ “Accelerating the Transition to Aircraft Electrification… Infrastructure is Competitiveness”: Application of Mobile Power Platform


As the transition to electrification in the aviation industry accelerates, the need to secure charging and power infrastructure is becoming increasingly emphasized. However, existing fixed power facilities centered on airports have limitations in supporting diverse operational environments, such as small airports, temporary runways, and tourist airfields.


In response, aeonus is applying a battery-based standalone power system capable of operating without external grid connection to the aviation sector. This solution is structured to provide an integrated power supply necessary for overall aviation operations, including not only charging electric aircraft but also Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and auxiliary power for maintenance and air traffic control. The two companies plan to jointly develop a mobile charging and power package usable at airports as well as external sites, and proceed with phased demonstrations.


■ Joint Development of Aviation-Specific Energy Operation System


This agreement goes beyond simple hardware supply to include the establishment of an energy operation and management system specialized for aviation electrification. Based on its battery technology, aeonus plans to support the development of batteries for electric aircraft and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), while simultaneously enhancing its Energy Management System (EMS) using AI technology. The core of the initiative lies in intelligently optimizing operational algorithms and charging profiles by learning and analyzing flight cycle and characteristic data of aircraft batteries, thereby simultaneously enhancing safety and efficiency through real-time status monitoring. This is expected to serve as a key technology for the Lifecycle Integrated Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) system currently being pursued by TOFF MOBILITY.


■ Laying the Foundation for Cooperation to Expand the Electric Aviation Ecosystem


Through this agreement, both companies plan to refine a mobile power supply model optimized for aviation operating environments and, through continuous technological cooperation, fully expand the electric aviation infrastructure ecosystem and enter the global market.


Eun Heo, CEO of aeonus, stated, "As the electrification transition of the aviation industry accelerates, the need for establishing mobile charging and power infrastructure is growing." He added, "We will secure competitiveness in the global AAM infrastructure market by building an aviation power platform applicable to various operating environments using mobile ESS-based technology."


He further added, "This agreement marks the starting point for jointly developing an energy operation model optimized for aviation operations, going beyond the simple supply of chargers."


Both companies plan to continue technological cooperation to expand demonstrations and commercialization, and actively expand advanced air mobility infrastructure and businesses into domestic and overseas markets.
